Diana Lawryshyn is a visual artist, composer, and teacher.
Influenced by her traditional music training in piano performance and composition, Diana’s electroacoustic soundscapes weave traditional harmony and field recordings with digital and tonal abstraction. Her artwork, which is a large source of inspiration for her music, takes a similar approach, blending traditional techniques of realism with abstractions such as surrealism, collage, and cubism. Furthermore, Diana proudly represents her Ukrainian heritage through many of her artistic pursuits and by taking an active role in her local Ukrainian Canadian community.
